We’ve now completed two seasons of Why Words Matter. We’ve been able to bring those 12 episodes to you first through making recordings for Bloomsbury Radio at the Bloomsbury Institute, then as a podcast of the recording that we release on Substack.
The second series ended with a thought-provoking episode hosted by Martin Lee on the word ‘Enough’. But apparently, wonderful as it was, it wasn’t enough and we’ve been invited to put together a third season of ‘Why Words Matter’.
The first of the new season, on ’26 Projects’, has now been released – it’s a gentle, informative, heart-warming conversation between Rob Self-Pierson, Fiona Thompson and John Simmons. Have a listen, we think you’ll enjoy it.

Tune in, sign up, help out
This third season brings with it opportunities for 26 members. We’re looking for help to make the most of these radio/podcast developments:
- A member who can help us with our Substack, and in particular with the podcasts. Someone with the technical ability to manage the process from recorded episode to release on Substack. And then to build awareness of 26’s Substack presence through communications with the 26 community and beyond, working in liaison with 26’s social media team (at the moment primarily Instagram and LinkedIn).
- We’re also open to ideas from members about the third season. Do you have a subject on our theme of ‘Why Words Matter’? What would you like to see featured in a 30/40 minute programme? Would you like to be a host or panellist on the programme? As we believe words matter in every aspect of life, you will have a wide range of possibilities.
These are wonderful development opportunities for people in 26’s membership. Don’t hold back.
