If you have taken part in any of the 26 projects in the past 12 months, you are in with a chance of winning the prestigious 26 Project Writer Award 2025. Now in its nineth year of existence, the award is supported by Storytime and recognises the most outstanding work produced by 26 writers who have participated in the last 12 months. And yes there is an actual award – an impressive printers’ chase trophy for the winner, as well as handprinted letterpress certificates on special paper for three ‘highly commended’ writers.
If you took part in one or more projects in 2025 you’re in with a chance of winning one of the four prizes. And don’t worry you can’t miss the deadline to enter because it’s the project editors’ responsibility to select the work for entry from all the projects that ran in 2025.
Chairing this year’s panel of judges for the Project Writer Award is last year’s winner Galen O’Hanlon. Galen is a two-time winner, having also won in 2022. In the new year Galen and his fellow judges will receive all the entries, make their shortlists and then choose the winner and nominate the commendations. Results will be revealed and prizes handed out at the awards ceremony online in late March or mid-April.
