Here at 26 we’ve been inspired by Pecha Kucha-style presentations since the 26 Wordstock event back in October. On that now-fabled day we heard half-a-dozen stunning six-and-a-half-minute speeches, each illustrated by twenty superb slides. We heard about 26 scents, a quest across Africa, the role of comics in business writing, the design blogger of the year, the life of Laurie Lee, and the idea of truth in news.
As architect and techno-artist Chris Stutzki says, “Pecha Kucha is the democratic form of the TED conference. It brings the best ideas out into the public”.
On Thursday 17 January 2013, just a few weeks from now, we will be firing up the slideshow again. The fun begins at 6.30pm, downstairs at the Betsey Trotwood on Farringdon Road. To make sure you don’t miss out, book now at http://writerstalk.eventbrite.co.uk.
