This is your chance to get involved in this year’s Bloomsbury Festival. The theme is Shining Light, and so with great originality we decided to call the 26 project this year ’26 Shining Light’. This actually reflects that the project, and its writers, will be much more integrated into the festival this year, and we’ll be pairing our people with 26 of the most interesting events/organisations that will be featured in the festival. This year’s participants include artists, community groups, dance troupes and orchestras to name but a few.
This year the festival is aiming to have live events as well as live streaming, which is potentially exciting after all these months of lockdown.
It’s going to be great, and it’s simple to sign up – just email Andy Hayes and he’ll pop your name in the sorting hat. It’s likely to be fully subscribed so hurry while slots last!
You can guarantee a place by volunteering to be an editor, as well as a writer, and join our core project team. We’d love to hear from you, particularly if you feel you could bring some special skills to the project – technical, organisational, communications, PR or social media.
We also have limited places for Writers in Residence, you’ll get free entry to all festival events on a specific day to write creatively, engagingly and objectively about everything you see going on around you. Just add ‘WIR’ in your subject line when you apply to take part. You can still be a project writer too.
