26 has been asked to partner with D&AD to produce a monthly piece of blog writing. The idea is that 26 writers will be asked to dig into the D&AD archive, then to write up to 500 words on one of D&AD’s award-winning works.
Of course, this being 26, there is our familiar attraction to the number 26 and the alphabet. So we’ll be asking each writer to take a different letter of the alphabet, then explore the archive under that letter. D&AD will provide us with a link to make it easier to see all the work under a particular letter. Then the writer’s response will appear on the D&AD website each month.
We have our first writer signed up. Dan Germain, this year’s foreman of the D&AD Writing for Design jury and the written voice of Innocent Drinks, is going to write about a D&AD-awarded work beginning with A. With the fruit connection, my money’s on A=Apple – but we’ll see when Dan’s written and posted his piece in the next few weeks. Watch our website to find out.
We’ll need more writers to volunteer. If you’re interested, let us know as soon as you can – these places might go quickly, although it might take a while for your turn to come around. Contact email@example.com
