26 members of 26 were paired with 26 new designers during the 2014 London Design Festival and asked to write 100 words in response to one design. An illustrator then responded to their words by creating an illustration for each piece. The result was 26 Designs.
26 designs is a remarkable range of writing from alliteration to short stories, interviews to poems and personal reflections to monologues. There’s even a nagauta: a Japanese ‘long song’ poem.
The pieces were published in the first issue of Fiera Magazine and you can now see them online here: 26designs.org.uk
