My news is: I’ve got a week-long theatre run of my debut hour-long stand-up show, I Miss Amy Winehouse! It’s at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre, Kentish Town, north London. It’s on every night at 7:30pm, 22nd-26th March:
Also, I’m going to run another Personal Essays Masterclass for the London Writer’s Salon on the evening of Thurs 14th April, ticket link to come soon. It’s three hours long, takes place on Zoom and there will. be personalised feedback on essay pitches after the class. The recording will be available afterwards, so it will be possible to book but not attend the live session.

And congratulations to Vanwy Arif for being the runner up in the Brian Dempsey Memorial Poetry Competition for her ten-poem pamphlet. Here’s more from Vanwy:
“The Brian Dempsey Memorial Poetry Prize is an international prize for short poetry pamphlets (ten poems). This year it was judged by Konstandinos Mahoney, a poet and playwright whose plays have been broadcast on the BBC and whose poems have been published by The Poetry Society amongst others. He also teaches creative writing at Hong Kong University. The prize is run by the poetry publishers, Dempsey and Windle. There is also an individual poetry prize and, as well as my pamphlet, two of my poems have been selected for publication in the anthology of individual poems. I was a runner up in the Pamphlet competition, meaning that all ten poems were of a high standard. I was very pleased to be runner up in this competition as it has high standing and it is a positive affirmation that I am doing something right!”
