I was happy to have an article published in the travel section of the Guardian, about what makes Finland the happiest country in the world.
The paperback of my book, ‘To Hear the Trees Speak’, came out into the world.

I’m up to Glasgow next week for work which is a place I have not been since I was a different person who knew and loved different people. I’m slightly nervous to visit such a distant, yet familiar, place and I’m curious about which feelings (if any, for there could be none) are evoked by returning. If there are any feelings, I’m sure my writing will be inspired. I also entered a poetry competition, which I’ve only done a couple times in the past and I don’t think I’m going to win but it’s nice to know I’m putting myself out there more.

Wife Clare and I plan two bike tours triggered by Robert Jackson’s
hymn tune ‘Thorney’. One in April from Thorney Street, Westminster, to
Thorney Island, Sussex; one in the summer from Thorney,
Nottinghamshire, to Thorney, Cambridgeshire, taking a long route to
visit friends. Will poems be made in these wanderings?
