Wordstock has been a part of 26’s calendar for more than a decade, and for the last three years it has been a regular afternoon at London’s Bloomsbury Festival. We are reviving that partnership this year, working to the Bloomsbury Festival’s new theme: “Create and Celebrate.”
What is Wordstock?
An afternoon of conversation and creativity celebrating the power of words through talking, listening, and creating together. Part inspiration, part celebration, the afternoon will feature interviews, workshops, and collaborative writing sessions led by members of the 26 community alongside guest speakers. Designed to broaden horizons and bring together like-minded lovers of language, the event offers space to listen, write, drink tea, and share ideas.
How can I help?
Simple. We want to showcase the amazing writers and writing of the 26 community.
The afternoon is quite flexibly structured, with all kinds of sessions ranging from talks, to interviews, panels, workshops, and collaborative writing; from 10 minute micro-slots, to hour-long explorations. So the question is… What do you want to bring? We want a diverse selection of themes and voices, and if it’s interesting to you, then we suspect it will be interesting to us.
Please get in touch with max@whiteweavearts.co.uk, before the end of June, and we’ll have a quick Zoom or a coffee in July.
Thank you.
