The Free Word Centre is welcoming our Throwaway Lines Exhibition for a month from 29th October until 26th November this year. Co-editor Elise Valmorbida tells all.
The Free Word Centre is a brilliant venue for 26, and a fine 3D outing for the project that was launched at Wordstock last year.
The centre is frequented by member organisations (Arvon, English PEN, the Literary Consultancy et al) as well as countless other word-loving visitors from all over the world. Watch out for publicity on their website.
Now, all we have to do is get on with the show…
26 Throwaway Lines started life as a heap of scraps in Andy Hayes’ gleaning bin. Writers from across the Land of 26 were randomly paired with discarded dockets, missing memos, and rain-stained lost pages. Editors Andy Hayes, Elise Valmorbida and John Simmons led the journey from litter to, er, litterature.
The exhibition will be at The Free Word Centre, 60 Farringdon Rd, London EC1R 3GA – just after our very own inimitable 26 Wordstock festival. Put the date in your diary: Saturday 13th October. And buy your tickets here.
