About me

I’m a Sunday Times Bestselling author of seven novels and to date I’ve sold just shy of one million books worldwide. My novels have been translated into nine languages (the most recent being Russian) and have been foreign language bestsellers in four countries. I’ve only been writing full-time since October 2013 (working as a copywriter and food trends writer until then), so I’ve become an expert in fitting writing around my life. Now a mum, writing full-time is definitely a challenge but I feel incredibly lucky to be doing what I love for a job.

My eighth novel, Searching for a Silver Lining, will be published by PanMacmillan on 24th September this year and is my second title for this publisher. My first six novels were published by Avon (HarperCollins) after my first book, Fairytale of New York, was discovered on Authonomy.com, HC’s site for unpublished authors. It’s taken the best part of eight years to believe this actually happened to me!

I run motivational inspiration days for writers of all genres, career-stages and abilities under my WriteFoxy banner and have mentored seven new writers under my Future Stars scheme.

I’m also a singer-songwriter – hear my music here: http://www.soundcloud.com/MirandaDickinson
