I'm a writer and editor fascinated by words. I love thinking of precisely the right word to demonstrate a meaning. I love writing articles, web pages ... an email will do, to be honest. I get disappointed when I spot a tiny mistake on page 235 of a book, or on the side of a burger van. That makes me a bona fide sub-editor, you might argue.
My background includes five years as a writer, sub-editor and web editor on national newspapers (The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph).
I'm a web specialist copywriter (though I write for print too). I teach an online web writing course at Literary Chicks. Anyone who wants to improve their own web writing skills can join.
I work on SEO copywriting and advise on social media strategy.
My specialist areas of writing interest include employment, skiing, spas, health and the drinks industry.
