Join our writers' tour of the UK and have your piece published on the 26 website. We want to make this the biggest literary guide to the UK ever and everyone's contributions are welcomed with open arms. From Shakespeare and Milton to Paul Abbot and Van Morrison, whoever you feel best expresses a link with your local (or adopted) region, Common Ground will include everyone's favourite author, lyricist, playwright and poet.
How to take part:
- Which writer captures the spirit of a place close to your heart?
- How have the local landscape, people and stories influenced them?
- And what effect has this had on you?
26 is inviting everyone to join in with our Common Ground writers’ tour of the UK. If you'd like to be part of it, write a piece that describes the common ground you share with another writer (up to 500 words) and send it to us by 30th September 2007.
Every piece of writing that the editors consider to be good enough to publish will be added to the Common Ground website www.26.org.uk/commonground.
The writer of the most outstanding piece will win £50 worth of Penguin books.
